About us – Nzsolebookie
The name states the premise: New Zealand has a single bookie by law, and Nzsolebookie writes about betting with TAB NZ in that light. Nothing here accepts a wager, sells a tip or guarantees a result.
What the site does and does not do
The editors explain markets, odds and offers, compare how tote and fixed odds are paid, and set out the legal position. No bets are taken, no "sure" tips are sold and no income is promised, since a bet certain to win does not exist.
Checking legal status
Only TAB NZ is lawful, so there is no register of bookmakers against which a name could be checked. Since 28 June 2025 TAB NZ alone may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand, through TAB and Betcha. The statements rest on Department of Internal Affairs material and on the Racing Industry Act 2020 as amended in 2025, read from the legislation pages. The Department says an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law; the law is aimed at the operator and not at the punter. Appearing in a ranking confers no licence.
Working with sources
Claims about TAB NZ come from its terms, help pages and footers; legal claims come from statutes and public bodies. Odds and promotions move quickly, so a figure is dated and placed. Where sources give out, the text says so in words instead of inventing a number.
Readers
The pages are written for adults in New Zealand, since betting with TAB NZ opens at 18. They are not legal or tax advice. Anyone finding that betting takes more room than intended can contact the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa.
